What Lidwise does
You don’t buy a laptop or a monitor every week, and prices differ a lot between shops. Lidwise puts them side by side. Each product has a single page with all of its versions – memory, storage, colour and keyboard layout – each with its own EAN code or the manufacturer’s part number.
A price belongs to exactly one version: we never compare a laptop with 8 GB with the same one with 16 GB, and a QWERTY and an AZERTY keyboard are each a version of their own. We only show shop prices once we have checked them for the exact version; if the version is ambiguous, we show no price rather than guess.
Independent
Lidwise doesn’t sell anything and isn’t affiliated with the brands on this site. We use brand names to describe what is in the catalogue, not to suggest a partnership.
The order of products and prices is not for sale.
Not a test lab
We don’t test products ourselves. We show what the manufacturer states, such as the processor, the memory, the SSD, the screen size and resolution, the weight and the battery life. Take care with refurbished devices, US keyboards and older processor generations: the shop says so, and the information from the manufacturer and the shop always takes precedence.
Who makes Lidwise
Lidwise is an initiative of Made by Spin, based in the north of the Netherlands (Noord-Nederland; KvK 01129853, VAT ID NL001458795B62). You can reach us at info@lidwise.com.
A comparison site by Made by Spin
Lidwise is one of the comparison sites of Made by Spin. Made by Spin builds and runs a network of price comparison sites, each for its own kind of product, on one shared platform with the same rules for every site.

How we earn money
Lidwise is free and sells nothing itself. We earn affiliate commission: if you follow a link to a shop and buy something there, that shop pays us a share of the purchase. These links run through an address on Lidwise that starts with /out/.
The price you pay at the shop stays the same: the shop pays the commission, not you. How much commission a shop pays plays no part in the order of products and prices.
How we compare
- Exact products: a price belongs to exactly one version, identified by its EAN or the manufacturer’s part number. If that is not clear-cut, we show no price rather than guess.
- Only real price drops: we only call a price a drop when it is lower than the same shop’s lowest price in the 30 days before.
- In stock first: offers you can order now are listed above sold-out ones.
